As a member, you own the Society and everything we do is driven by the value it brings to our members. At the AGM, I will explain how the Society has performed in 2012 and what this means for you.

We welcome the chance to meet our members and the AGM is a great place to do this. The AGM starts at 11.00am and you are welcome to join us from 10.00am for refreshments and the opportunity to chat with some of our directors and staff. You are also welcome to join us for refreshments after the formal meeting when you will again have the opportunity to talk further.

Next chapter in our history

You may remember I wrote to you in February to inform you the Board had signed an agreement, in principle, to sell the new business capability of the Society to TDR Capital.

This is a really important development and I want to take the opportunity to update you at the AGM on the progress of this transaction.

We will write to you again with an invitation to attend an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held later this year. At this point we will also provide you with full details of the proposal, including the benefits the deal brings for members.
