As part of that future we have a great new opportunity within our Underwriting Department.

Medical Underwriter
In this new role you will be responsible for managing the provision of all technical and medical underwriting support for the enhanced annuity product(s).  You will work closely with the Head of Underwriting and our Product, CSD and Actuarial teams in the provision of data relating to medical risks.

As the key point of contact for all underwriting matters, including the underwriting systems, you will provide technical underwriting support internally and externally. You will continually provide leadership and expertise for underwriting and reassurance related business as usual and project activities along with contributing to the product development process in order to bring innovative products and features to market.

About you
With up to date knowledge of the financial services industry and ideally product design and innovation within the annuity market or life mortality and morbidity risk, you will have previous experience of dealing with clients and IFAs. You will have good influencing skills, will be a strong communicator and will enjoy being part of a busy team.

You will have good Microsoft Office skills, Unit 555 (Life and Disability Underwriting) is desirable, if you don’t already hold this then we will support you with gaining this qualification  so you must have a desire to study.
